Fond Doux’s “Wall of Fame”
At Fond Doux Plantation & Resort we are locally owned and operated, and are proud to keep St. Lucia at the heart of everything we do. In keeping with this, our “Wall of Fame” in the Cocoa Pod Restaurant represents great individuals and the impact they’ve had in St. Lucia.
Among photos of Prince Charles and Prince William are many St. Lucians. Dame Pearlette Louisy can be found on the wall. Acting as the Governor General of Saint Lucia from 1997 to 2017, she was the first woman to hold this office. Sir Derek Walcott was a Saint Lucian poet and playwright, receiving the 1992 Nobel Prize in Literature. Dr. Gregor Williams has been an inspirational force on the island with his work in conservation, heritage, and education, not to mention his efforts in starting the Fond Doux Heritage Site.
Our Wall is growing as we continue to add individuals of influence. We hope that when you’re enjoying the open-air terrace of the Cocoa Pod restaurant you enjoy the company of our guests on the wall, too.
From politicians to performers, we are proud to celebrate the people of St. Lucia and their accomplishments.
