Opening of Plas Cacao Chocolate Shop

Cocoa is one of the main crops at our resort, and what better way to celebrate our love for chocolate and cultural heritage than making our own. “Plas Cacao” officially opened its doors on October 25th, 2017 manufacturing 100% organic Saint Lucian Chocolate.

The chocolate bars are made from 100% locally grown organic cocoa beans, sugar and cocoa butter. Fond Doux’s Bean to Bar chocolate maker is responsible for sourcing the cocoa beans before processing them through sorting, roasting, cracking, winnowing, grinding, conching, tempering and moulding.

In addition to the opening of the Chocolate Shop the resort has introduced the ‘Fond Doux Chocolate Heritage Tour”.

Chocolate Making: US$40 per person plus 20% Tax
Tree to Bar: US$65 per person plus 20% Tax
